From #PolleraPantal\u00f3n we begin a new business and cultural journey to strengthen ties with a distant nation, but sister at heart: Armenia. We are a group of Argentine businesswomen, who will represent with our knowledge and experience everything that Argentina has to offer. We will meet with the highest political and religious authorities in the country, as well as with women who lead different projects. We will learn about how unique ancient products are made and we will talk with the authors of innovative proposals in the fields of health, education, gastronomy and culture. This group of women builds new bridges with a land that turned adversity into an opportunity.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n

Day 1 \u2013 Meeting with Patriarch Karekin II and visit to the Genocide Memorial<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
We had the honor of being welcomed by Karekin II, Patriarch of the Armenian Apostolic Church<\/strong>, who blessed all the members of the delegation. We talked about the importance of interreligious dialogue and, above all, the key role of religion in keeping society united. The church as the main source for a nation that turned adversity into opportunity.

In the afternoon, we got excited in Visit to the Genocide Museum and the Genocide Memorial<\/strong>, where we were able to make an offering at the site where the eternal flame burns in memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide in 1915.

We close this wonderful first day with a tour of the\u00a0Flea Market Vernissage<\/strong>, where we saw the amazing work of Armenian artists displaying their artwork on the street. And a tour of the most important sites in the Armenian capital, such as Freedom Square and the Yerevan Cascade.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Day 2 \u2013 A Presidential Day<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
On day 2 of our mission to Armenia we were able to meet in person the President Armen Sarkissian and his wife, First Lady Nouneh Sarkissian<\/strong>She is the author of various articles on art, music and culture, a very popular writer in Armenia, with books that have been published in Russian, Ukrainian and English.

During the visit to the Presidential Palace<\/strong>We had an extensive conversation where the president expressed the importance of a united society. He also told us about the importance of having a delegation of Argentine women to build bridges and forms of cooperation.

The First Lady spoke about the role of women in society; the importance of having a vision of complementarity between men and women (where we need each other); how Armenia was working on the role of women in the economy.

The grand finale for #PolleraPantal\u00f3n was the great evening of classical music at the Presidential Palace itself. We are grateful for the invitation from President Armen Sarkissian and First Lady Nouneh. The Concert allowed us to get closer to Armenian romance music, in a profound emotional experience. Performed by two artists of international level:\u00a0tenor Liparit Avetisyan and soprano Anahit Mkhitaryan<\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Day 3 \u2013 Visit to Matenadaran and meeting at the Armenian National Assembly <\/h3>\n\n\n\n
This Tuesday we were able to get closer to the rich history of this great Nation. From the contemplation of ancient manuscripts in the Matenadaran, to the formidable monastery and pilgrimage site Khor Virap<\/strong>.

Then we met with members of the ruling and opposition parties<\/strong>. In this important meeting of our #MissionArmenia<\/strong> We were able to share with the legislators our journey and the current situation in our country. In an enriching dialogue, we heard about the great challenge of providing a framework and legislation for a united Armenia with the goal of growing together.

Among the topics discussed, we talked about recommendations on labor regulation (employment law) and labor protection;
balanced regulation of international investment; the creation of an institute for the promotion of investment development; gender policies and the role of women in politics; exploitation and use of natural resources; interaction between all areas of the public sector; management complementarity.

The following people participated in the meeting of women parliamentarians: NGOs, representatives of civil society and the Argentine-Armenian commission. Many thanks to all of you for joining and being part of this initiative that seeks to build bridges.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Day 4 \u2013 Visit to TUMO<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
We met TUMO\u00a0@tumocenter<\/a>, a creative technologies center geared toward education. We had the opportunity to tour their laboratories and experiment with wonderful projects that combine<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Day 5 \u2013 Tradition and inclusion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Today we were struck by two very different Armenian organizations, but with two key points in common: tradition and inclusion.

Karas Wines, from the Eurnekian family<\/strong>, is a vineyard that traces its origins back to more than 6,000 years of winemaking tradition. This ancient journey that the Eurnekians have taken up is linked to present-day Armenia through a program to reintegrate workers into society. This formidable task is led by its president Juliana of the Eagle<\/strong> It is related to what we experienced later in the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia<\/strong>.

The Armenian monetary authority has a strong tradition that has been maintained throughout all governments. This generates great credibility among its citizens and investors. In its actions, it innovates through financial inclusion, with practices that impact the entire population: the majority of Armenians are bank users. Another vital fact, which would be important to apply in Argentina: financial education is mandatory in schools.

We continue to take note of the opportunities that this great country has been able to take advantage of, while sharing the Argentine experience.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
