Penalists united for the return
Due to the extraordinary judicial recess decreed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a group of criminal lawyers joined together to develop and recommend working methods.
They submitted a set of recommendations to magistrates with the aim of gradually resuming the work of courts and tribunals.
Marta Nercellas is Secretary of the Criminal Law, Human Rights and Criminology Commission of the Public Bar Association of CABA and member of Pollera Pantalón. As one of the promoters of this project, she spoke with Diario Judicial about it and said that "the rule must be to continue with the task with all the exceptions and modalities that the health emergency imposes. Prioritizing the health of everyone: employees, officials and litigants, we believe that it should not necessarily mean paralyzing the entire system and that the only exception should be issues of freedoms or precautionary measures."
